March 5, 2006: When One Suffers, All Suffer: Focus on Darfur

Joni Sussman from Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) will talk about the ongoing genocide in Darfur and the postcard campaign to get the American government to take action. Info for the campaign can be found of www.savedarfur.org or the website of Faithful America, sponsored by the [url="http://www.ncccusa.org" target="]National Council of Churches[/url.

Locally, people interested in participating can contact the Minnesota Council of Churches through the Considering Faith Program Coordinator . or [url="http://www.minndakjcrc.org"]JCRC.

Action item will be to send postcards to Congress and the President. Post cards can be sent via the website or they can be picked up at the organizational meeting being held on Thursday, March 16 from 7 - 8:30 at Plymouth Congregational Church Guild Hall or by contacting MCC Program Organizer Cindy Kennedy
