April 23, 2006: Holocaust Remembrance

April marks Holocaust Remembrance Month, a time when the Twin Cities Jewish community remembers and honors the six million Jews who were murdered in the Holocaust in a ceremony called Yom Hashoah. We will be talking with Dora Zaidenweber, survivor of the Holocaust and Jodi Elowitz, Holocaust educator with the Jewish Community Relations Council, about why we must never forget.

Rev. Peg Chemberlin will host a discussion with Terry Gips discuss the connection between environmental sustainability, economic reality and what our faith traditions teach about care for the earth. Terry Gips is a nationally known speaker and director of Sustainability Associates, founder of the Alliance for Sustainability and member of Congregations Caring for Creation.
