In preperation for this day we welcome Reverend Richard Coleman of Kingdom Oil, Christain foundation in Minneapolis and Vivan Jenkins Nelson of the Inter-Race Institute to talk about how their work is keeping King's legacy alive today and how each of us can engage the dream. January 7th, 2007 Spirituality and DisabilityWe welcome Reverend Jerry Storm, Executive Director and Counselor of Peace Community Counseling Center and Reverend Jo Clare Hartsig, Chair of the Board of Directors of The United Church of Christ Disabilities Ministries to Considering Faith. This spring in Minnesota we will have 3,200 veterans of war returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan. With their return we will need to look inward to our organizations our communities and our families to see how prepared and welcoming we are for people with disability, visible or not. |
