June 24 - Karen Refugees in Minnesota - Rev Bill Englund

This week on Considering Faith we'll be talking about the Karen refugees in Minnesota. The Karen ethnicity originally comes from Burma, a country in Southeast Asia that has been been ruled by a dictatorship for decades. Because of religious and ethnic persecution, the Karen population has immigrated to the US. Currently, Minnesota holds the largest number of the Karen population, with over 1,500 refugees living in St Paul.

This week we'll be talking with Reverend Bill Englund. Reverend Englund pastors a church that was home to the first Karen families to immigrate to Minnesota and now is one of the primary churches of the Karen population.
