November 11 - Homelessness and Progressive Christianity - Reverend James Gertmenian

As Thanksgiving approaches and we begin to think about all the food we will be eating over the holiday season, it is also important for us to remember those less fortunate than us and give thanks for our blessings. We will be talking with Reverend James Gertmenian of the Plymouth Congregational Church this week about homelessness and how we can help.

Also, we will be talking about Reverend Gertmenian's work in promoting progressive Christianity and how this work is closely tied to alleviating homelessness.

November 4 - Peace and Violence in Non-Abrahamic Traditions

Next Sunday at the University of Minnesota, there will be a forum on peace and violence in non-Abrahamic religious traditions. We will have the leader of that forum, Paul Strickland, executive director of the Center for Religious Inquiry, as well as some members to discuss what peace and violence means within these religious traditions. We'll also be talking about how this ties to the idea of interfaith dialogue.
